the Inland Empire Dance Center; formerly Bowen-Hayes School of the Arts began in the city of Grand Terrace in 2006. Bowen & Hayes are the maiden names of Artistic Director & Founder Jamie Azpeitia-Sachs’ Grandmother’s whom both had a deep appreciation of the performing arts. Our focus & goal is to teach the basic techniques of various dance styles while centering on dance as an art form, not a competitive sport where the focus is centered on winning. Combined our instructors have taught in EVERY state, and 8 countries!

IE Dance Center was noted as the first Pre thru professional Performing Arts School in the City of Grand Terrace. Now having relocated to Riverside, we are still offering the finest instruction in: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Costume design, Musical Theater, Swing, Salsa, & Ballroom! IE Dance Center & IE Contemporary Ballet, Inc.  have received a reputation as being professional, with strong technique, and strong supporter of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The Students, and instructors are noted for their superb technique in all genres of dance, especially both the Balanchine & Vaganova methods, as well as Fosse based Jazz & Musical Theater styles.
