Vintage Thrifting
Thrift store shopping is a lot of fun. You never know what you might find on the racks. It allows you to find something unique and is an affordable hobby. Riverside has an abundance of thrift stores. We have chosen just a few to get your journey started.
Charitable/Non Profit Thrift Stores
These are your traditional, donation-based thrift stores. You are sure to save big bucks, and you always get the thrill of the hunt. The best part is that part of every dollar you spend goes to a great cause. Assistance League provides clothing and supplies to students in need, and the Mary S. Roberts and PAAWS thrift stores help fund no-kill animal shelters in Riverside.
Boutique Thrift Stores

Liberty’s Buy, Sell, Trade and La Bomba share a corner on Sunnyside and Magnolia. You are sure to find below-retail prices on curated vintage clothing collections. These stores take pride in what they sell and do the hunting for you.
Raincross District has a little bit of everything. It is a multi-vendor retail space specializing in new and vintage clothing, local crafts, and small gift items. You can even rent a space short-term if you want to thin your collection or have something crafty you’d like to sell. They have made great use of their prime location downtown on Market, directly next door to the Food Lab, and fostered an emerging community at the shop through occasional art and music events.
Furniture
If you love mid-century modern furniture, the Hologram House is for you. Even with the rise in popularity of MCM, it is often more economical to purchase vintage furniture than to buy it new. The build quality can not be matched, and you can’t put a price on “funky.” The Hologram House has limited hours. Check their social media for the best times to shop or make an appointment to see what they have.
